Human capital is the greatest value creator and critical investment for organizations. Human resource management (HRM) standards provide a people management framework and guidance for organizations to maximize human capital investments by aligning HRM processes and practices to organizational goals and objectives, driving value creation for organizations and their stakeholders.
For instance, stakeholders, such as capital markets and investors, use standards developed by ISO TC 260 to define and benchmark processes and practices for managing intangible assets pertaining to human capital. Specifically, one of the key standards developed by ISO TC 260: ISO 30414:2018. This standard provides guidance for organizations to derive insights by measuring human capital outcomes, resulting in an improved understanding of risks and opportunities for profitable and sustainable growth of large, medium and small organizations.
HRM standards are consensually developed by practitioners, experts, and researchers from different cultural contexts around the world. These specialists contribute their knowledge and expertise to offer HR practitioners, organizations, and their stakeholders tools and guidance to improve the workforce experience and organizational outcomes.
What we do.
ISO TC 260 uses the ISO 30400 series to produce international standards in human resource management, and is also responsible for the ISO 10667 series of international standards on assessment. TC260 standards focus on current and anticipated issues involving people management.
ISO/TC 260 main objectives and priorities include developing international business by providing guidance and improving internal processes. The core benefits of applying ISO/TC260 standards include optimization of organizational performance. Improved value creation, sustainable development, workforce productivity, satisfaction and engagement benefit organizations who apply these standards and technical specifications.
Whether or not organizations have a dedicated HR function, adopters of any size or maturity can leverage their knowledge, skills and abilities to measure organizational performance by applying these HRM standards.
International Organization of Standardization (ISO)Technical Committee 260 HR Management (TC 260) is the official group dedicated to developing evidence-based HR standards that improve HR management processes and practices, worker experience and organizational outcomes.
